A little story about our Christine.....
First, My name is Chaney, and  I always get
the message board (Auto trader paper), and look through it to see if I spot
something, and there it was back in 2004."For Sale: 1957 Plymouth Belvedere,
2dr hd top...$800.00".. I recognized the phone number imediately and
called my buddy. We bought it and tore it down right away. The car was in
pretty good shape overall, just needed to be restored...After getting into the
restoration however, it would seem that I was in over my head..
The car was rusted worse than thought, as this is how it always is, and would
need ALOT more work than thought...This has been the goal for almost 5 years
now...I got the bumper wing's from our fearless leader of the CCC, Wayne.
(Thanks Wayne)...
Lots said restore it back to the "Miss Belvedere" clone as this car was the twin,
but Christine was the goal...I remember my friends asking me back in high school
''Have you seen that movie Christine?", I had not as of then...Then one day my
mom brought home some "Car" movies and one was Christine..Finally, I was
gonna see what all the talk was about .
...From the first time I saw Christine, I was hooked. The car is powered by a
350 GC look-a-like 440, with twin carb's, and is set up like the #2 Christine
one in the "Show me" scene with chrome air cleaners
and valve covers...It also has a remote start, that can also rev the engine and turn
on the headlights. It has been a real hit at cruise nights here..
