Originally produced for sale in Jacksonville, Texas, this car was never sold or registered and was kept by the dealership owner. It saw limited use and spent many years in storage until an estate sale in the late 1990's. It was purcahsed by a fellow in Amarillo, Texas and stayed there until 1999 when it was sold in Hemmings Motor News. It was then purchased by another fellow who brought it up to Canada in 2000 and sold it to local used car dealer, Ron Hudson, in Richmond, BC. In 2001 I missed my chance to buy this car from Ron and off it went to its new owner in Chilliwack, BC where it spent the next five years until I discovered it in April 2006 sitting in the guy's driveway where it had been exposed to the elements for at least two years. Due to his failing health, the owner reluctantly agreed to sell it to me (and good thing he did because he died almost a year later) After a thorough cleaning and polishing the car remains mostly original and still wears about 30% of its original paint. The interior is all original, the engine is all stock and has never been apart. Every possible effort has been made to preserve this car in its original condition. It remains garage kept and only comes out for local car shows and sunny day cruises.
In December 2006, this car was used as a picture car in the TV mini-series "Fallen" which is scheduled to air on ABC Family starting on August 3rd, 2007. One of the above pictures shows me teaching actress Ivana Milicevic how to drive the car. She had never driven a pushbutton automatic car with no power steering or power brakes before :o)
